Sports & Events trainng
Whether you are a seasoned athlete or taking your first steps towards taking part in an event, working with a personal trainer can be a huge advantage.
You might not think of yourself as an athlete, but even preparing for a charity run or cycle sportive takes time and dedication. Fitting your training into everyday life can be difficult, so it’s important to get the most out of the time you have.
Different sports place different demands on your body, so your training needs to be specific to the activity you are taking part in. We’re not coaches, we won’t be interfering with your technique, but we will show you how to train the muscle groups that matter. At Body Active, we’ve worked with athletes of all ages and abilities, up to international level, in sports as diverse as tennis, rugby, athletics, football, triathlon and dragon boat racing. Many of our clients are just starting out, perhaps with the intention of taking part in a Race For Life or a local park run, so we understand the needs of people at all levels, from experienced athletes to nervous beginners.
We will prepare a training program that contains the right volume and intensity to help you achieve your goals. The time you spend training with us is only part of that program. Rest, sleep and eating well are all important, so we can help you get into good habits that support your training. Recovery doesn’t mean sitting on the sofa eating biscuits! We also offer sports massage, to help keep your body in good shape between sessions.
Whether you are preparing for a national championships or your first 5k charity run, our expert advice will help you reach your goals.
