Guidance and feedback are a vital part of any training schedule, which is why it helps to work with a personal trainer. At Body Active we will keep you motivated and on track as well as providing expert advice.

We like to get to know our clients, so we start with a free (no obligation) consultation. This is your chance to tell us about what you hope to achieve and any health issues or old injuries you may have. It is also a chance for us to see how you move, what your weaknesses are likely to be and discuss other factors that need to be incorporated into your training plan.

Unlike a gym class, our sessions are strictly one-to-one. You get our undivided attention, so we can provide constant feedback. That dialogue is vitally important to making progress and you can contact us at any time to ask for advice. Our aim is to make sure that you are never in doubt about what you should be doing and how you should be doing it.

Our sessions are completely flexible, we can train wherever suits you best. For indoor work we normally use the Southgate Hotel in Exeter, which has a well equipped gym and free parking. In Exeter we are very lucky to have lots of wonderful places to train outdoors. Some of our favourites are the path along the River Exe, the Haldon Hills and of course, Dartmoor. We can also train you at your home or workplace, if that is what you prefer.
